The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa call upon business community to attend its stand at Gikondo expo Ground 2023 to get information and benefit from services available at COMESA region.
From mid July to 15th August 2023, Rwanda is having Expo 2023 which gathers business persons, big companies and industries from Rwanda and from other countries across the world. It is in this regard that COMESA which also attended this expo 2023 remind business community to come to its stand have more information about what COMESA does and how to help them.
Daniel Banda is one of COMESA communication team and remind people that they are at Rwanda Expo 2023 to disseminate information about what COMESA does, about different programs like infrastructure, trade and any other you might be interested in.
“We are at Rwanda 2023 expo, to disseminate information about what COMESA does, about different programs like infrastructure, trade and any other you might be interested in. We are at the show ground at Gikondo here in Kigali, and we are at your disposal. If you are a business person and wishes to ask how can COMESA can help you, we are here actually to avail that information.”
Gallina Tembo who represent COMESA Business Council under the umbrella of COMESA, remind people that their role is to facilitate trade at small and large scales, business corporate companies.
“We are here to exhibit, you know as COMESA Business Council, we are the representative of private sector in the entire COMESA region, so our role is to facilitate trade at small and large scales, business corporate companies.”
Gallina said that COMESA here to showcase and have a direct stakeholders engagements in private sector. And that they We know this expo 2023 is not gathering people from Rwanda but its across Africa. “So we’re here to engage with the member states.” Said Gallina.
Benjamin Massila, the head of information and Resources center at the COMESA secretariat, said that they showcasing different knowledge and information services as well as inform and educate the business community in the various information resources that are available to them.
“We are here of course to showcase different knowledge and information services as well as inform and educate the business community in the various information resources that are available to them, to help them facilitate their trade within the COMESA region.”
COMESA with its 21 Member States was established as an organization of free independent sovereign States which was agreed to co-operate in developing their natural and human resources for the good of all their people’ and as such it has a wide ranging series of objectives which necessarily include in its priorities the promotion of peace and security in the region.
